This Brother Knight, his wife and four children are active in a multitude of community, church, and Knights of Columbus activities. He is a leader in Boy Scout Troop 242, an extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist as well as a lead usher, and an active participant in the Adult Faith Formation program. She is a Cantor at church and lends her voice to the Fourth of July Flag Raising for the Assembly. For Council 5480 he serves as the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church Director and as a Nocturnal Adoration point of contact. It gives me great pleasure to announce the August 2010 Family of the Month as David and Eileen Mazary.
Despite being a junior member – he joined 6 years ago – this Brother Knight is a shining example of what it means to be a Knight of Columbus. He successfully balances family, career, and faith. When he is not spending time with his wife and children, all three attended Peninsula Catholic High School, he is busy helping in the community and with BINGO. He fills in where needed at PCHS athletic events and is serving the 5th year of his 2-year term as PCHS Booster Club President. He is a regular fixture at Monday night BINGO where he calls, for better or worse, at least once a month. Life is about balance and this Knight effortlessly fits it all in. It is my privilege to announce the August 2010 Knight of the Month as Steve Sprinkle.
